Marching Band Uniforms
Uniforms:
*Your student will be assigned a marching band uniform, which consists of a jacket, gauntlet, and pants on a plastic hanger and a hat in a plastic box.
*ALL uniforms & hats will be stored in the Uniform Closet in Band Room. Every band member will be assigned a spot within the closet with their name listed in alphabetical order. Please make sure Gauntlets (numbers match jacket) are pinned and hanging NEATLY on hanger with uniform after each use.
*Each uniform is numbered or labeled please make sure your son/daughter memorizes his/her jacket/gauntlet number & pants number to avoid confusion in locker room after events. Check the numbers against your uniform contract or the list on the uniform room door.
*Make sure your hat and hatbox is stored in the Uniform Closet after each use.
Dinkles (marching shoes), black gloves and black socks are a required portion of their uniform however, please store at home or in their band locker. Percussion does not wear gloves.
Students MUST have all above items every time they are marching at a game or event.
We will try to find each student a uniform that fits well, but some uniforms may need altering.
NO MATERIAL MAY BE CUT! If alterations are needed you may do them yourself or contact April Kleindl at 810 931-8133 or Sally Bach 810 636-2611.
Please get all alterations done before the first home game Thursday, Aug 28, 2014 and return it to uniform closet. *If any damage occurs to the uniform from lack of alterations, such as frayed pant legs, you will be required to pay for the repairs.
Dry Cleaning
Parents/students will be required to pay the dry cleaning fee when your son/daughter is fitted on Aug 6th 6-9pm. The cost will be $7.00 per uniform and $3.00 per Beret.
ALL uniforms will be taken to be professionally dry-cleaned at the end of the Marching Band season by the Uniform Coordinator at one time. Make sure the correct pants, jacket & gauntlets are hanging on your hanger. Check the numbers against your uniform contract or the list on the uniform room door. If you turn in someone else’s items, the other person will be credited for turning them in and you will be stuck with a debt card.
*Any student who does not have their uniform in closet at the end of the season will receive a debt card. Failure to turn them in on time may also result in the loss of class points toward their grade.
*Cost of uniform replacement is $400, hat/hat box replacement is $50, and hanger is $5.
